Use the site
RatingCafe is a free, public directory of UK food hygiene ratings. You can browse, search, and link to any page without asking. You cannot claim to be RatingCafe.
Data accuracy
All ratings come from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) open data feed. We refresh daily. An inspection happens every 6 to 24 months per venue — so the date of the last inspection matters. We always display it. Ratings can also be under appeal; we mark those explicitly when the FSA flags them.
No warranty
This is a best-effort public service. We do not guarantee that a specific rating is current at the exact moment you read it. For the authoritative version, see https://ratings.food.gov.uk/.
Not legal or medical advice
Hygiene ratings measure regulatory compliance, not taste or food allergens. Do your own research before dining somewhere with complex dietary needs.
Removal requests
If you operate a venue and believe a rating is inaccurate, please contact the FSA’s re-rating process — we are not the authority, we only mirror the open data. If your venue has been struck off or closed, email hello@ratingcafe.cafe and we’ll update within 48 hours.
